St. Malachy Parish is working hard to build up God's Kingdom here on earth.  In order to do so, we employ many different skilled individuals to serve our mission through various capacities.  We are constantly growing and expanding which means there are often new needs and open positions in both the church and school sides.  Listed below are some open positions we are currently searching to fill.  Please prayerfully consider if God is inviting you to apply for one of them that serves our many ministries.

School Openings

Science Teacher 

St. Malachy is seeking a faith-filled middle school licensed Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher in this position will be responsible for planning and implementing lessons for 6th through 8th grade students. The ideal teacher candidate has both a strong knowledge of the Indiana Science Standards as well as current best practices to meet diverse student needs. They are able to design and facilitate engaging lessons, along with providing ongoing student support, and create a positive classroom environment with Christ at the center. Must have a strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students throughout each subject area taught. Candidates should be able to work with grade-level team members, other grade level teachers, and special area teachers, as well as all support staff. Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible.

Math Teacher

Third Grade Teacher 

St. Malachy Catholic School, located on the west side of Indianapolis in the growing town of Brownsburg is seeking a 3rd Grade Teacher for the 2024 -2025 school year. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing daily lessons in Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies and Religion instruction, as well as preparing students for IREAD-3 and ILEARN using student data. The teacher in this position has both a strong knowledge of the Indiana standards at the 3rd grade level as well as current best practices to meet diverse student needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students throughout each subject area taught. The candidate should be engaging, positive, and joyful individual who focuses on student-center based instruction and creating a safe, faith-based learning environment, along with being able to work with grade-level team members, other grade level teachers, special education, and special area teachers, as well as all support staff. Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible.

Preschool Teacher 

St. Malachy Catholic School, located on the west side of Indianapolis in the growing town of Brownsburg, is a preschool through 8th grade Catholic school with an enrollment of 512 students with two classrooms for each grade level. St. Malachy is seeking a faith-filled preschool teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher in this position will be responsible for planning and implementing daily lessons for preschool students. The ideal teacher candidate has both a strong knowledge of the Indiana standards at the preschool level as well as current best practices to meet diverse student needs. They are able to design and facilitate engaging lessons, utilize formative assessment to guide instruction and provide ongoing student support, and create a positive classroom environment with Christ at the center. Must have a strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students throughout each subject area taught. Candidates should be able to work with gradelevel team members, other grade level teachers, special education, and special area teachers, as well as all support staff. Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible.

Preschool Aide 

St. Malachy Catholic School, located on the west side of Indianapolis in the growing town of Brownsburg, is a preschool through 8th grade Catholic school with an enrollment of 512 students with two classrooms for each grade level. St. Malachy is seeking a faith-filled preschool aide for the 2024-2025 school year. Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Wednesdays until 2:30 p.m.)
Responsibilities: Provide ongoing student support, and create a positive classroom environment with Christ at the center. Assisting in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the teacher. Helping students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.  Helping students develop mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supervising the classroom when the teacher is out of the room. Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school. Treating all children with dignity and respect. Maintaining confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees outside the school. Providing support to ISP students. Providing support to struggling students. Supervising outside playground activities, arrival/dismissal, and/or lunch duties. Discipline: we are all a team and together the teacher and aide will collaborate on implementation of the class’s management system. Must have a strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students throughout each subject area taught. Candidates should be able to work with grade-level team members, other grade level teachers, special education, and special area teachers, as well as all support staff. Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible.
