What is life?
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6).
Jesus came to restore the divine life in us tarnished by our first parents in the Original Sin. This does not mean that humans are bad; on the contrary, every human being is good because he or she is created in the divine imagine and likeness of God (see Genesis 1:27). We need Jesus to redeem us restoring us to God’s divine life.
why?
As Catholic Christians, we believe every human life from natural conception until death has dignity and must be treated as such. So, whenever we support the needs of the unborn, expectant parents or children, we are doing LIFE ministry. Whenever we take care of the physically handicapped, mentally ill or the very old, we are doing LIFE ministry. Whenever we help the unemployed, homeless or hungry, we are doing LIFE ministry; because, in all these cases, we are giving people a better opportunity at LIFE. And all LIFE comes from God.
