Father Michael Clawson
Associate Pastor
Hello, I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. As I am sure many of you are aware, my name is Fr. Michael Clawson. I am very excited to begin my role as associate pastor at St Malachy and look forward to getting to know everyone. Several people have asked what name I would prefer people to call me and either Fr Michael or Fr Clawson is perfectly fine, although I would prefer not to be called Fr Mike.
Just a little bit about myself, I’m originally from Arizona and my family and I lived there until I was about 12 years old. At that point my family moved to Brazil Indiana, where my family has lived ever since. I played baseball and basketball growing up and love sports, my teams are the Arizona Diamondbacks, Indianapolis Colts, Phoenix Sun, and Notre Dame. Golf and Reading are the two other major things I enjoy doing on a regular basis.
I’m the oldest of five and have two brothers and two sisters. My brother Wesley, 27, is a Staff Sargent in the Marine corps. Katie, 25, and her husband just had their first baby and both work training and managing race horses. Matthew, 23, is a social studies teacher down in Center Grove and then my little sister Emma, 20 is a Junior at ISU.
