Dear Parishioners:

As many families are finishing up Fall Break, we welcome you back hoping it was a peaceful and restful break.  Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here!  And, there is always much to be thankful for.

I am thankful for our faith community and the increased faith I see in people all the time…

In order to continue directing the good spiritual growth happening here, I would like to encourage you to take our C.L.O.V.E.R. SURVEY. The survey should not take more than 10 minutes to complete.

By taking this survey, you will help us to see where we are in our mission and goals of reaching that mission of creating disciples for Jesus. This survey will remain open for two weeks, but please don’t delay!  We don’t want you to forget about it. Your feedback is important to us!

I am also thankful for the generosity of our faith community…

As you may be aware, two years ago we purchased the pipe organ from the Northminister Presbyterian Church in Broad Ripple. It included 33 ranks of pipes (some 1862 pipes and chimes). We have contracted with Peragallo Pipe Organ Company in New Jersey to build and install this instrument in St. Malachy Church.

In order to upgrade the organ, we talked with Peragallo about updating the control system and wind chest mechanism. We discussed adding pipes and digital tones, and the project would include new oak casework which creates a price of just over $677,000.

I am pleased to announce that we have met and surpassed this goal raising over $700,000 in pledges. This is a wonderful testimony to the generosity of our parishioners and their desire to see a musical legacy built here at St. Malachy. This instrument will enhance our liturgies, especially at Mass, and heighten the music programs of both church and school in our parish.  It will provide opportunities for inviting the wider community to experience and enjoy music concerts on campus.

Thank you so much to all who have made pledges and donations to this project. Please continue to fulfill those pledges.

We look to have this instrument installed in our church in the spring 2022 sometime after Easter. As the timeline is established, we will keep everyone posted.

I am thankful for Our Lady’s prayers and intercession for our faith community…

October is the month of the Holy Rosary.  This week, St. Malachy School will be doing their Living Rosary on Wednesday at 8:15am. Anyone is welcome to join us as we continue to ask the Blessed Mother to bring us closer to our Lord Jesus.

Thank you so much for everything. We would not be able to do the good work God asks of us without your prayers, presence, and assistance.

In Jesus, through Mary and St. Joseph,

Father Danda
