Welcome to Religious Education! Our goal is to help our children grow to become true disciples of Jesus Christ by building relationships with them, being examples for them and teaching them God’s Word.
JAM (Jesus and Me) Religious Education classes are for our Preschool and Kindergarten children of the parish. Activities are joyful and involve movement, song, puppets, stories, and scripture! It is designed for those Pre-K children age 4 by August 1, 2021 and Kindergarten children age 5 by August 1, 2021. Classes occur during the school year from 8:30 -10:00am.
Religious Education classes are held twenty Sundays from August to May. Sessions take place at St. Malachy School from 8:30 - 10:00 am. allowing children to participate at Mass with their families in order to apply and reinforce the faith formation they are experiencing during the Religious Education classes. Although parents are the first teachers of the faith, it is important for children to learn about their faith with their peers and from other adults’ perspectives.
On Sunday mornings during the school year, middle school students in grades 6th and 7th grade, meet for Faith Formation sessions. During this time, the middle school youth learn how to be "joyful witnesses of the Gospel," while building in community. The sessions take place at St. Malachy School from 8:30 am - 10:00 am allowing the youth to participate at Mass with their families in order to apply and reinforce the faith formation they are experiencing during their sessions.
This year's VBS was a success! Over 100 children gathered to learn about the parables through scripture, skits, crafts, and songs. Hope to see you all again next year!
