About
The mission of the St. Malachy School Resource Room is to support students of varied need as they work to
achieve curriculum standards and Individualized Education Plan / Private School Service Plan goals.
The Resource Room staff supports students identified as having a disability
as defined under Indiana Article 7 special education law.
Students who need either short-term assistance or continuing intervention may also receive services
through the school’s Response to Instruction (RtI) framework.
Student needs are met in either a pull-out format, where the teacher works with individuals or small groups
outside of the general education classroom, or by pushing into the general education classroom
to work with students during regular instruction.
The Resource Room staff works closely with the general education teachers to implement
appropriate differentiation strategies and academic accommodations.
The Resource Room strives to support the St. Malachy School mission to educate the whole child
by supporting the academic, social, and spiritual needs of all learners.
