Let all you do be done in Love…through C.L.O.V.E.R.
Week of February 12, 2024
Dear parents,
2024 Shamrock Spectacular: It's a wrap!
Those that attended are still talking about the “Night with the Stars”…The stars for the night were our students, staff, parents, and parishioners. Connor Harrity amazed us with his piano and harmonica talent when he played Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”, and then 7th grader, Jonathan Fetzner-Roell discussed his process of writing and having his first book published. Yes, rumor has it there will be a second book. Izzy DeCesare was our honored alumni and Mary Kay Loviscek was honored for having taught piano for 51 years at St. Malachy. Scarlet Adler was the first recipient of the Vincent Hardebeck Scholarship. The charcuterie boards by Kathy Knies and her team are simply to die! Chef Andy Selby and his assistants presented “Street Tacos” that were absolutely perfect and complimented by the School Advisory Council’s special beverage as we highlighted the Fine Arts programs of St. Malachy Catholic School. Donations are still coming in; however, at this time over $20, 000 were raised. 75% of proceeds will go to our fine arts programs, 15% to our athletic ministry, and 10% will fund the Vincent Hardebeck Scholarship.
Overall, it was a wonderful night and we hope you can join us next year. On behalf of St. Malachy’s parish school, we cannot thank you enough this year for your support and prayers as we go forth Learning, Loving, and Living with Christ.
In Christ,
Mrs. Saundra Kennison, principal
