Dear parents,

Both our 56 and our St. Malachy/St. Michael cadet football teams advanced to the CYO championship game this weekend. The 56 football team will play OLMC at 3:15 pm on Saturday, November 11th at Bishop Chatard High School. The cadet football team will play St. Pius at 3:45pm at Bishop Chatard High School on Sunday, November 12. Congratulations to both teams. All students that attend the game can will earn a casual pass. Go Shamrocks!

This week is National Vocations Awareness Week. I’ve attached the plans from our staff committee for the week.
We need substitute teachers. I’ve put this in the church bulletin. Contact me if you are interested or know someone who is - we will work with schedules and time commitments as well as your grade preferences.
Veterans Day Program is Friday, November 10 at 2pm in the gym. Please join us.
PTO meeting is November 15 at 6:45pm in the art room.
November 21 is a 1pm dismissal and no Extended Day.
No school November 22 - 24.
Advent begins November 26.

Cardinal Ritter High School Happenings

Cardinal Ritter High School offers the high school test on December 2nd. Students can take the test in December if they would like to improve their score from the November 4th test.

No cost to take the test
Student must arrive between 8:40 am and 8:45am
Test begins at 9am and takes around 3 hours

Why do I work at St. Malachy

I truly believe that God called me to St. Malachy; it’s in His plan for me. I love working with all the students and staff at St. Malachy.

Where do I usually sit in Church

Well at school mass, I sit with Mrs. Prahl’s class because Mrs. Prahl was my sponsor when I went through RCIA. However, when I attend mass with my husband, we usually sit in the back not so we can sneak out but because we can sit down quickly and see Jesus in the stained glass.

How would I describe St. Malachy to someone who has never been here

It’s home…where my other family comes to grow. St. Malachy is a family that has very high expectations and students and staff sometimes experience growing pains, but when their time comes to leave St. Malachy they are more than prepared to meet and conquer the next challenge knowing that they can calls us if they ever need help because we are family!

I’ve been married to my amazing husband, George, for 27 years. We have three children and one princess (Macy our 2 year old boxer).

I didn’t like going to church because it seemed so long, but now as an adult, I love going to mass to celebrate!
