September 01, 2025

Dear parents,
Congratulations to 5th grader Luke Sippel on being named the Saintly Student of the Month for August by modeling the traits of Saint Dominic.

Here are the words of his teacher, Mrs. Adler:
"Luke has had a great start to 5th grade, and we are so proud of the way he has lived out the traits of St. Dominic. He has shown humble leadership by being a mentor in Mass to the younger servers and a positive role model in class. He has shown compassionate service by helping others where they need it, without being prompted, and he shows a love for learning and truth by his classroom involvement. We are so proud of Luke and his following in the ways of St. Dominic!"

at a beautiful witness--congratulations to Luke!
September's Saint is Carlo Acutis.  This Saint is unique because he will be canonized on September 7, 2025!
How students can be like Carlo Acutis this month:
  1. Stay Close to Jesus in the Eucharist--Carlo went to daily Mass and spent time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Students can try to pray more intentionally at Mass, be especially prayerful during Adoration, or spend a quiet moment with Jesus during the school day.

  2. Use Your Talents for Good--Carlo loved technology and used it to share Eucharistic miracles with the world. Students can use their own gifts—whether in sports, music, art, writing, or friendship—to bring joy to others and glorify God.

  3. Stay True to Your Values--Make choices that honor God, even when it’s not the most popular or easiest thing to do. Carlo reminds us that being faithful to our values is one of the greatest ways we can live out holiness in everyday life.
