Important reminders:
- Headphones went home the week of May 13. Extra clothing, blankets, progress reports, and any other personal items will be sent home on the last day of your child’s attendance. If your child will not be here as scheduled, please be sure to let me know ahead of time.
- If your child does not attend school on Thursdays and you would like for them to be present at the End of Year Ice Cream Social, they may attend only with an adult present. Please notify me by Monday, 5/23 if you are planning to attend.
The Clovers got to meet some baby chicks and a leopard gecko thanks to one of our fifth grade teachers, Mrs. Weilinski!

Letters, Numbers, & Writing |
We are continuing letter recognition and order through repetition. Each morning, we will use alphabet chart to recite. We are counting to 10 by repetition. Each morning, we will use our number chart to count. We will also be working on pencil control and building up hand muscles through sensory play. We will be completing a mini-unit of our World of Wonders Curriculum: Eric Carle. This week, students will gain an understanding about how Eric Carle's books are alike and different and how authors and illustrators make books. We will be reviewing letters A-Z. We will also be reviewing numerical order and counting as high as we can. |
Science |
We will be learning about chameleons. |
Social Studies |
We will gain an understanding of what an illustrator does. |
Religion and Catholic Identity |
Clovers will be practicing how to make the sign of the cross. (This will be a work in progress throughout the year.) We will be completing a special lesson of the God Made Me Catholic religion curriculum by Loyola Press. This week’s theme is “Last Class/Summer”. Students will anticipate summer fun and thank God for the experience of preschool. |
Social and Emotional Learning |
We will continue Slumberkins: Authenticity with Unicorn Unicorn’s These lessons encourage students to be their true selves. Welcoming and celebrating differences is key for students’ emotional wellness. These lessons offer opportunities to students to identify their own ways of being authentic and explore positive ways to welcome and respect others’ differences. We will be working on lesson #4 Helping Others Shine Bright. In this lesson, Students will identify friendships that celebrate them being true to themselves, practice celebrating everyone’s bravery to be authentically themselves, and learn different ways to show they accept others just as they are |
Art |
We will be doing a watercolor painting of a chameleon. |
STEM (afternoons) |
Summertime/Beach STEM: Students will learn about and discuss the many activities that we can do in the summer and at the beach will engaging in themed activities. |
