Welcome to St. Malachy School Music!  I am delighted to teach music to all students at our school.  Students in grades Kindergarten and 1-5 come to music class twice each week and those in Preschool come once each week. Our middle school students have music as part of their Specials block. Read below to discover the exciting ways our students experience music in the various grade levels.

Music Overview

In the Elementary and Intermediate Grade Music classroom, the students experience and learn the fundamentals of music through singing, playing classroom instruments, moving, improvisation, composition, drama, and listening to a variety of musical styles.

In the Middle School Music classroom, the students are given opportunities to express themselves creatively, to work together toward a common goal, to learn about other cultures, and to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
