Good afternoon parents/guardians,
Please see the weekly parent information below. I want to highlight the following:
- This week we are collecting food items for Cornerstone Food Pantry.. This service initiative is called Food for Families. At the end of this week a group of 1st and 8th grade students will load the bus and deliver the food items. They will also help pack food bags for needy families to pick up. Attached you will find a list of food items needed.
- Wednesday, August 26 is our Middle School Parent Meeting at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. This meeting is usually for 6th grade parents and parents of new middle school students. However, it's helpful information for all middle school parents.
- Our first Pep Rally is Friday at 2:15pm. Students can wear spirit wear & jeans (or uniform bottoms). Parents are welcome!
- Aug. 31 - Sept. 4: Scholastic Book Fair. The Book Fair is open Mon - Wed from 7 AM - 4 PM and Thurs - Fri from 7 AM to Noon. More information about ewallet can be found here: https://www.scholastic.
com/bf/stmalachyschool4 - Both Mrs. Jessee and Mrs. Datweiler are expecting their first child in December. It's very exciting! We will be looking for two maternity leave subs for their maternity leaves, January 5, 2027 through the end of March. Contact me if interested.
