Dear parents,

Every eight (8) semesters, schools in the archdiocese of Indianapolis have a Continuous Improvement Journey (CIJ) visit. Our visit is Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

On Monday, November 11th, we will be celebrating veterans on Veterans Day. If you would like for your veteran's picture in the slide show, please email pictures and the information below to Heather Miller at .

A picture (preferably during his/her service, but does not have to be in uniform)

If a veteran was in the slide show last year, s/he is still in the slide show. If a picture and information were sent AFTER the program, please send it again for this year.

We are beginning to work on the 2025 - 2026 school calendar and should have a tentative calendar by Thanksgiving. Currently, it appears that the first day of school will be August 5, 2025

The girls’ volleyball tournaments begin this week and St. Malachy is hosting the Cadet B tournament.

Parent Presentations - Mark your calendars

High School 101- November 13, 2024, 6:30pm in the school cafeteria.

This presentation is for St. Malachy and St. Susanna parents of 6th - 8th graders to learn more about high school diploma requirements, scholarships, and placement tests.
8th graders will have a presentation in the morning.

Social Media and Internet Safety - November 20, 2024, 6pm in the Holy Family Room. The presenter is Tiffany Preston. Ms. Preston is an Assistant District Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.

First Placement Test November 2nd and December 7th at 9:00 am! Doors open at 8:30 to register!! This is for any student attending a Catholic High School.

Open House November 7th from 6:00-8:00.

Why do I work at St. Malachy

I truly believe that God called me to St. Malachy; it’s in His plan for me. I love working with all the students and staff at St. Malachy.

Where do I usually sit in Church

Well at school mass, I sit with Mrs. Prahl’s class because Mrs. Prahl was my sponsor when I went through RCIA. However, when I attend mass with my husband, we usually sit in the back not so we can sneak out but because we can sit down quickly and see Jesus in the stained glass.

How would I describe St. Malachy to someone who has never been here

It’s home…where my other family comes to grow. St. Malachy is a family that has very high expectations and students and staff sometimes experience growing pains, but when their time comes to leave St. Malachy they are more than prepared to meet and conquer the next challenge knowing that they can calls us if they ever need help because we are family!

I’ve been married to my amazing husband, George, for 27 years. We have three children and one princess (Macy our 2 year old boxer).

One memory of church growing up

I didn’t like going to church because it seemed so long, but now as an adult, I love going to mass to celebrate!
