Preparations for the 2020 Mary's WAY Dinner are in progress! Keep an eye on the website and bulletin for future updates.

Mary’s WAY is a Catholic Women’s Ministry whose mission is to deepen our love and faith in Jesus Christ, by following the perfect example of His mother, our Blessed Mother, Mary. Our ministry is faithful and obedient to the Magisterium of the church and receptive to the work of the Holy Spirit. We joyfully strive to integrate the fullness and beauty of our Faith into our lives while fulfilling our God-given vocations to know, to love and to serve God within our families, parishes, and community.

We achieve this through lovely, candle light dinners, inspirational speakers, prayer, fellowship, and service to others. We come together in faith, family, and community, and invite you join us. Our non-Catholics friends are always welcome!

This group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am - 11:00 am when St. Malachy School is in session. All women of the parish (and friends) are welcome to gather together weekly in the Holy Family Room to pray for each other, to support each other and to discuss the next Sunday’s readings as an aid in living out the Word of God. Child care is provided in the Nursery.

No registration is required; all are welcome!

The Altar Society at St. Malachy is a service and social ministry open to all women of the parish. As a Catholic women’s organization, we are also members of the National Council of Catholic Women. We strive to support the spiritual welfare of its members as well as provide for the material needs of the altar, sanctuary and sacristy. We also act as hosts for dinners after funerals and at parish receptions. Our meetings are typically held on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Church.

Fundraising events:

St. Malachy Gift Cart -  Every second weekend of the month, visit the St. Malachy Gift Cart for your all of your religious items. Rosaries, crosses, and items for Fathers/Grandfathers are just a handful of items that will be available on September 14-15 with prices between $1-$35. 

Christmas Bazaar - Saturday, November 7, 2020 9AM-3PM. Annual arts and crafts bazaar with over 50 Vendor Booths selling items such as jewelry, home decorations, cards, candles, clothing, lotions, candies and more. Delicious homemade food and desserts will also be available all day.

Funeral dinners

The Altar Society is honored to be able to serve dinner for families after the funeral of their loved ones. Volunteers are always needed to make food, set up the dining area, serve the meal and clean up afterwards. Please contact Linda Cunningham to volunteer for this important ministry.

At this time, funeral dinners are not occurring, but feel free to contact Linda in the future!

Quilting

The Altar Society creates a beautiful quilt each year to be auctioned off at the annual Christmas Bazaar. This year, women interested in assisting can contact Mark K. Garrison at 317-852-5910. The group will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Experience not necessary!

Join fellow parishoners, 35 years and older, on Sunday nights at the St. Malachy School outside basketball courts for pickup basketball games.  Check the bulletin or calendar for details, or contact Kevin Bettag at  for any questions you may have.
