Bishop Brute Days

Bishop Bruté Days is held at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis.  It is a retreat in June for young men, who will be in grades 9-12 the following school year,  who are seeking to grow closer to Christ, and who may be open to the possibility of a vocation to the priesthood.  The retreat gives young men the opportunity to spend three days with the Bishop Bruté college seminarians learning about prayer, service, scripture, and the awesome gift of our Catholic faith.

Bishop Bruté Days Jr. is a one day experience is for young men who are in junior high (7-8th grade).  It is designed to focus more on general discernment and serve as an introduction to Bishop Brute Seminary.

Vocation Prayer Chalice
November 5th, 2017 marked the beginning of the National Vocation Awareness week. In observance of this celebration and recognizing that praying for vocations is something for which all of us are called to do, St. Malachy launched a new prayer ministry: The Vocation Prayer Chalice. Each week at the 10am Sunday Mass, the celebrant will call a volunteer family, individual, or couple forward to receive a blessing and the chalice to take home and set it in a place of honor.

The family will commit to using the chalice as a focal point to pray for religious vocations, praying especially for those in our parish and family who the Holy Spirit is calling to the priesthood, diaconate, or religious life. The following Sunday they will return the chalice, prior to the start of the 10am Mass, so that it can be presented to the next family who has signed up to be part of this ministry.

A sign-up sheet is available at the parish front desk or you may email Larry Timko at
