Prayers for our Pastor

St. Malachy Parish is offering this call to strengthen the Catholic Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of our pastor.  Father Danda will be our only parish priest for at least the first six months in 2019.  Let us consider praying for him as he shepherds our congregation.
Father Danda will be celebrating his 10th year ordination anniversary in June 2019.  What a gift of multiplied graces this call might be to him, offered by a multitude of his parishioners!

WHO?

You are invited to be part of a group/form a group of at least seven people who commit to praying for Fr. Danda for one Holy Hour on a selected day of the week, thus covering a complete week.

Each member is committed to a specific day of the week (i.e. Sunday or Monday or Tuesday, etc.).  You may

  • pray at any time of that day;
  • break up the hour into shorter time periods, just so the total time adds up to one hour;
  • sign up as a single person, couple or family for one of the week days, sharing the commitment to pray for one-hour on the selected day of the week;
  • call upon another member to serve as substitute if you are unable to serve on your day.

One member of the group of seven agrees to be the coordinator of the group. The coordinator will communicate with the group as to when they will collectively begin their year of prayer.

This calling to pray for our pastor is based on the Seven Sisters Apostolic, founded in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis (https://sevensistersapostolate.org/home/).
